How we contribute

In daily operations, not in a policy on a shelf

Refurbish instead of scrap: After completed verification a meter can be scrapped, or refurbished and reused. Our recommendation is always refurbishment: often all that is needed is a new measuring insert, gaskets and a thorough cleaning, because the core components are made of solid materials built to withstand many years of wear. A refurbished meter is at least as good as a new one.

Reuse of meter housings and glass: In our workshop, meter housings are blasted and repainted to as-new condition. New inserts to MID or EC standard, testing under Swedac regulations, and the housing goes back out for another round in the network instead of to scrap.

Products selected for long life: Up to 16 years of service life, battery-free registers, field-replaceable batteries and meters updated over the air. We maintain a product range meant to be a sound environmental choice and reusable, it is in the environmental policy, and it shows in the catalogue.

Rent, do not buy unnecessarily: Need to verify a measurement for a limited time? Rent a calibrated flow meter with documented history instead of buying. Verify without investing.

Order in chemicals and waste: Hazardous chemicals are replaced with sounder alternatives, waste is sorted and measured, hazardous waste handled responsibly, and the environmental management system is ISO 14001 certified by RISE.

12.5Substantially reduce waste generation

Our contribution: Our meter workshop prevents waste at the source: housings, glass and core components are reused, and what is replaced are wear parts, not the whole meter.

12.2Sustainable management and use of natural resources

Our contribution: Spare parts, refurbishment and rental keep materials in use longer. Husbanding natural resources through reduced waste and reuse is an explicit point in our code of conduct.

12.4Responsible management of chemicals and waste

Our contribution: Chemicals are phased out or replaced, waste is sorted, and hazardous waste is measured and handled responsibly, systematised in our ISO 14001 certified environmental management system.

12.6Encourage companies to adopt sustainable practices and reporting

Our contribution: We are ISO 14001 certified by RISE, place environmental and sustainability requirements on suppliers further down the chain, and publish our governing documents openly on this site.
